Jimny Adjustable Panhard Bars
Des Sol Jimny adjustable Panhard bars help centre the front and rear axles after a suspension lift. When a Jimny rises, the fixed factory bars pull the axles slightly toward one side. Therefore, adjustable bars let the installer correct the axle position.
This set suits Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 models from standard height up to a 100mm lift. In addition, the heavy-duty build supports road, touring and off-road use.
Key Panhard-Bar Features
- Front and rear adjustable Panhard bars
- Adjustment range for 0–100mm lifts
- Thick-wall ASTM A106 seamless tubing
- High-tensile steel adjusters
- Thermoplastic polyurethane bushes
- Helps centre both axles under the chassis
- E-coated and powder-coated finish
- Des Sol manufactures the bars in-house
- Replacement parts remain available separately
Why a Lift Moves the Axles
A Panhard bar controls the sideways position of an axle. However, the bar moves through an arc as the suspension rises or falls.
When you lift the Jimny, the original fixed-length bar sits at a new angle. Consequently, it pulls the axle away from the centre of the chassis.
The Jimny axle correction bars allow the installer to change the effective bar length. As a result, the installer can move each axle back toward the centre.
Adjustment from 0–100mm
The bars support setups from standard ride height through to a 100mm lift. Therefore, one bar design can suit many suspension heights and vehicle builds.
However, the installer must measure the actual axle position before making changes. Spring height, vehicle weight and existing parts can all affect the required setting.
After adjustment, the installer must lock the adjusters securely. In addition, both axles should sit as close to the centre of the chassis as the vehicle allows.
Heavy-Duty Bar Construction
Des Sol uses thick-wall ASTM A106 seamless tubing for the main bar bodies. Meanwhile, high-tensile steel adjusters provide a strong link between the bar and its adjustable section.
This build supports the loads created during suspension movement. Furthermore, Des Sol makes the complete bars in-house so that owners can source replacement parts when needed.
Never continue driving with a badly bent, cracked or loose Panhard bar. Instead, stop safely and inspect the complete mounting system.
Polyurethane Bushes
The bars use thermoplastic polyurethane bushes with a set level of hardness and flex. Therefore, the bushes can control bar movement while still allowing normal suspension travel.
The bush design also aims to reduce unwanted noise. However, correct fitment and regular inspection remain important for quiet operation.
E-Coated and Powder-Coated Finish
Des Sol applies E-coating and powder coating to the Gen 4 adjustable track bars. As a result, the finish helps protect the steel during outdoor and off-road use.
Nevertheless, clean the bars after mud, salt or coastal travel. Also, repair deep scratches and coating damage before corrosion can spread.
What the Set Includes
- One front adjustable Panhard bar
- One rear adjustable Panhard bar
- High-tensile adjustment sections
- Polyurethane bushes
- Required locking hardware
Fitment and Setup
A suspension workshop should install and adjust the Jimny heavy-duty Panhard rods. First, the workshop should place the vehicle on level ground at its normal ride height.
Next, the installer should measure the front and rear axle positions. The installer can then adjust each bar until the axle sits correctly beneath the chassis.
Finally, the workshop should tighten all fasteners to the correct torque and complete a wheel-alignment check. The installer should also inspect the brake hoses, steering parts and suspension travel.
Important: This set suits the Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 from standard height up to a 100mm lift. Confirm the vehicle, lift height and required axle correction before ordering.
