The Des Sol Canopy roof rack provides a strong and flexible load-carrying platform for compatible bakkie canopies. Its T-slot mounting system fits canopy rails with a maximum centre-to-centre width of 1090mm.
Des Sol builds the rack around a high-strength aluminium frame. In addition, 3Cr12 stainless steel mounting brackets and stainless steel hardware support reliable outdoor use. The rack measures 1500mm long, 1086mm wide and 70mm high.

High-Strength Aluminium Frame
The aluminium construction provides strength without the weight of a full steel rack. As a result, the canopy luggage rack gives you a useful platform for touring equipment while helping you manage the canopy’s total roof load.
Furthermore, the specialised coating process helps protect the aluminium against corrosion and outdoor exposure. The steel brackets receive both E-coating and black powder coating for added protection.
Flexible Accessory Mounting
The T-slot design supports a range of compatible touring accessories. For example, you can add suitable awnings, shower brackets, table mounts, jerry can holders and other load-carrying accessories.
Many accessories from brands such as Front Runner, Quick Pitch, Easy Awn and Thule may work with the rack. However, some products need Des Sol adaptor brackets or other mounting hardware. Therefore, confirm compatibility before ordering any accessory.
Canopy Fitment Requirements
This Des Sol canopy rack fits compatible canopies that use suitable T-slot rails. First, measure the distance between the rail centres. The measurement must not exceed 1090mm. Also, confirm the rail type, canopy strength and required mounting hardware before installation.
A trained installer should fit the rack and tighten every fastener to the correct setting. After your first trip, inspect the mounts and check the fasteners again. Continue checking them often, especially after travelling on rough roads.
Loading and Safety
Always include the rack, brackets, accessories and cargo when calculating the total roof load. In addition, spread the load evenly and secure every item with suitable restraints.
Important: Never exceed the lowest load limit stated by the vehicle, canopy, T-slot rail or roof-rack maker. The rack’s strength does not increase the approved load capacity of the canopy or vehicle.
