The Jimny Gen 3 overlanding suspension package from Des Sol provides a functional 50mm lift for touring and off-road travel. Pack 4 combines EV1L50 remote-reservoir shocks with dual-rate coils and supporting suspension parts. As a result, the kit delivers dependable control across changing roads, loads and terrain.

Castor correction bushes and adjustable Panhard bars help manage the steering geometry and axle position after the lift. In addition, extended brake and vacuum hoses support the increased suspension height and travel.

EV1L50 Remote-Reservoir Control

The EV1L50 shock absorbers use a large-bore monotube design to provide steady damping and improved suspension control. Meanwhile, the remote reservoirs increase the available oil volume and help the shocks manage heat during demanding use.

Therefore, the EV1L50 overlanding suspension helps reduce shock fade on long gravel roads and rough trails. The hard-anodised aluminium bodies also transfer heat efficiently while providing added protection against wear.

Unlike the EV1L50-ADJ range, these shock absorbers do not have external high-speed and low-speed adjusters. However, Des Sol can service and re-valve the shocks when the vehicle setup or load changes.

Dual-Rate Coils for Touring Loads

The dual-rate coils use two spring rates to balance comfort and load support. First, the softer section supports ride comfort and suspension movement when the Jimny carries less equipment. Meanwhile, the firmer section provides additional support as the touring load increases.

Consequently, this Jimny Gen 3 50mm lift kit can support daily driving as well as camping equipment, recovery gear and other touring accessories.

Correcting Geometry After the Lift

Castor correction bushes help restore the steering geometry after the 50mm lift. As a result, they support better steering feel and vehicle stability.

The adjustable Panhard bars allow the front and rear axles to be repositioned beneath the vehicle. Therefore, they help correct the sideways axle movement caused by lifting the suspension.

Extended brake hoses and vacuum hoses are also included to support the added suspension height and travel. However, professional fitment and a wheel alignment are recommended.
