Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 A-Frame

The Jimny Gen 4 A-frame provides a strong connection for towing a compatible Suzuki Jimny behind a suitable tow vehicle or motorhome. Des Sol builds the frame from mild-steel square tubing and Domex 700 plate.

The design uses an unbraked cast coupler for a standard 50mm tow ball. In addition, Des Sol designed the frame for demanding towing conditions and tested its main towing components.

Purpose-Built Jimny Tow Frame

The triangular frame helps distribute towing forces between its connection points. Furthermore, the rigid layout helps maintain a steady link between the two vehicles during normal towing.

However, the 2,700kg figure refers to the A-frame component’s straight-line rating. It does not increase the tow vehicle’s approved towing capacity or set the legal towing limit for the complete combination.

Des Sol Bumper Compatibility

The Suzuki Jimny towing A-frame connects to dedicated mounting points on a Des Sol front bumper. Therefore, the A-frame is only compatible with a Des Sol Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 bumper.

It will not fit the original Suzuki bumper or another manufacturer’s aftermarket bumper. In addition, a trained installer must inspect the Des Sol bumper, chassis mounting points and all towing hardware before use.

Important Flat-Towing Checks
