Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 Bumper Grille Guard

The Jimny Gen 4 bumper grille guard is a practical add-on for the Des Sol Gen 4 Slimline Front Bumper. It provides convenient mounting points for spotlights and a VHF antenna while adding useful protection to the front grille area.

Des Sol makes the guard from corrosion-resistant steel and finishes it with E-coating and powder coating. Therefore, it offers lasting protection against moisture, dirt and harsh outdoor conditions.

Spotlight and Antenna Mounting

The Suzuki Jimny grille guard gives overlanders a convenient place to mount compatible spotlights. In addition, owners can use it to secure a suitable VHF antenna for touring or group travel.

However, always check the size and weight of each accessory before fitting it. The lights and antenna must not block the driver’s view, the vehicle’s lights or the flow of air through the grille.

Optional Radiator Protection

Long grass, seeds and other plant material can collect around the radiator during bush driving. As a result, airflow may become restricted. The grille guard design allows owners to attach a suitable mesh net to help catch this material before it reaches the radiator.

The mesh net is not included unless the selected product option states otherwise. Furthermore, owners must clean the net often because trapped dirt and grass can also reduce airflow.

Coating and Construction

Des Sol uses corrosion-resistant steel to create a strong yet practical guard. First, the E-coating reaches exposed areas and helps protect the steel. The powder-coated outer finish then adds another layer of care and gives the guard a clean black appearance.

Nevertheless, check the finish after hard use. Clean and repair deep chips or scratches before corrosion can develop.

Compatibility and Installation

The supplied studs secure the Jimny bumper guard directly to an existing Des Sol Gen 4 Slimline Front Bumper. A trained installer should fit the guard and check all mounting points before the vehicle returns to the road.

After installation, confirm that the guard and all accessories remain clear of the grille, radiator, bonnet and vehicle lights. Also, inspect the fasteners after the first off-road trip and during normal service checks.

Important: This accessory is only compatible with the Des Sol Gen 4 Slimline Front Bumper. It does not fit the factory Suzuki bumper, the Des Sol Hoop Bumper or other aftermarket bumpers. It is not a recovery point, towing point or impact-rated bull bar.
