The Jimny Gen 4 expedition suspension package from Des Sol provides approximately 50mm of lift for loaded touring and off-road travel. Pack 4 combines EV1L50 remote-reservoir shocks with dual-rate coils and heavy-duty 2° radial arms. As a result, it provides dependable control across changing loads, roads and terrain.

Adjustable Panhard bars help correct the axle position after the lift. In addition, extended hoses, a headlight adjustment bracket and a crossmember support the increased suspension height and travel.

EV1L50 Remote-Reservoir Performance

The EV1L50 shocks use a large-bore monotube design to provide steady damping and dependable control. Meanwhile, the remote reservoirs increase the available oil volume. This helps the shocks manage heat during long periods of hard use.

Therefore, the EV1L50 expedition suspension helps reduce shock fade on rough tracks and long gravel roads. Furthermore, the hard-anodised aluminium bodies provide effective heat control and added protection against wear.

These EV1L50 shocks do not have external high-speed and low-speed adjusters. However, Des Sol can service and re-valve them if the vehicle’s weight or setup changes.

The heavy-duty construction is suited to demanding expedition and off-road use. In addition, complete replacement arms provide a stronger upgrade than correction bushes alone.

Axle Alignment and Added Clearance

The adjustable Panhard bars allow the front and rear axles to be repositioned beneath the vehicle. As a result, they help correct the sideways axle movement caused by lifting the suspension.

The included crossmember provides additional clearance for the front driveshaft at the lifted ride height. Consequently, it helps prevent contact as the suspension moves through its travel.
