Jimny Gen 4 Rear Bumper
The Jimny Gen 4 rear bumper combines rear protection, towing equipment and recovery hardware in one lightweight package. Des Sol manufactures the bumper from corrosion-resistant steel, and the complete unit weighs less than 26kg.
The compact design improves the departure angle compared with a standard Jimny fitted with a separate low-hanging towbar. In addition, its bolt-on construction fits both three-door and five-door Gen 4 models.

Integrated Towbar and Harness
The Suzuki Jimny rear bumper includes an integrated towbar rather than requiring a separate towbar to hang below the bumper. As a result, the vehicle gains towing functionality while maintaining better rear clearance.
A towbar wiring harness is also included. Therefore, the required trailer-light connection forms part of the rear-bumper package.
However, the vehicle’s approved towing capacity does not increase when the bumper is installed. Always remain within Suzuki’s towing limits and any limits stated for the towbar, hitch and trailer.
Improved Departure Angle
The departure angle measures the available clearance between the rear tyre and the lowest part of the rear overhang. A compact bumper allows the vehicle to leave steep obstacles with less risk of contact.
Consequently, this Jimny rear bumper and tow bar combination offers better off-road clearance than a standard bumper fitted with a separate low-mounted towbar.
Recovery Points and Shackles
Built-in recovery points and shackles provide dedicated attachment locations at the rear of the vehicle. Therefore, the main recovery hardware forms part of the bumper installation.
Every recovery operation must still use correctly rated equipment and safe recovery methods. Furthermore, inspect the recovery points, shackles and bumper mounts regularly, especially after demanding use.
Removable Rear Light Cages
Removable cages help protect the rear lights from branches and other minor off-road contact. Meanwhile, their removable design provides access for cleaning and light maintenance.
The bumper reuses the original Suzuki Jimny rear tail lights and number-plate lights. As a result, the installation avoids unnecessary cutting and joining of the original lighting loom.
Parking Sensors and Camera Compatibility
The Gen 4 off-road bumper remains compatible with the vehicle’s parking sensors. Five-door configurations also include integrated mounting provisions for the original rear parking sensors and reverse camera.
The parking sensors and camera themselves are not new components supplied with the bumper. Instead, the appropriate vehicle configuration allows the original equipment to be transferred or retained.
Three-door and five-door requirements differ. Therefore, select the correct model configuration before ordering.
Corrosion Protection
Des Sol manufactures the bumper from corrosion-resistant steel. In addition, the bumper receives an E-coated and powder-coated finish for lasting protection.
The combined finish helps protect the material against moisture and demanding outdoor conditions. Nevertheless, clean the bumper after mud, salt or coastal exposure and repair deep coating damage promptly.

Installation Information

Professional installation is still recommended. The installer should check the mounting points, towbar hardware, electrical harness, lights, parking sensors and reverse camera before the vehicle returns to service.
