The Jimny Gen 4 slimline bumper combines front-end protection with a low-profile design and improved off-road clearance. Des Sol manufactures the bumper from corrosion-resistant steel to provide dependable strength without unnecessary weight.

Low-Profile Front Protection

The slimline design protects the lower front of the vehicle while keeping the grille area visually open. As a result, it offers a more compact appearance than a full hoop bumper.

Meanwhile, the included bash plate adds protection around the front underside of the Jimny. The bumper is therefore well suited to touring vehicles and off-road builds that require useful clearance.

Improved Approach Angle

The Suzuki Jimny front bumper improves the approach angle compared with the original bumper. The approach angle measures the clearance between the front tyre and the lowest part of the vehicle’s front overhang.

Consequently, the compact bumper allows the Jimny to approach steeper obstacles with less risk of the front overhang contacting the terrain.

Winch-Compatible Design

The standard Jimny slimline winch bumper does not include a winch. However, a compatible unit can be retrofitted later without removing the complete bumper.

First, remove the standard grille insert from the bumper. The installer can then bolt the compatible winch into position and fit the correct winch grille insert.

Before ordering a winch, confirm its size, mounting pattern, capacity and electrical requirements. Furthermore, make sure that the vehicle’s battery and charging system can support the selected winch.

Recovery Points and Shackles

The Gen 4 off-road bumper includes built-in recovery points and 3.5-ton shackles. Therefore, the main recovery hardware forms part of the bumper installation.

However, every recovery operation must use correctly rated equipment and safe recovery methods. Inspect the recovery points, shackles and bumper mounting hardware regularly.

Corrosion Protection

Des Sol manufactures the bumper from corrosion-resistant steel. In addition, the product receives an E-coated and powder-coated finish for lasting protection.

This combined finish helps protect the material against moisture and demanding outdoor conditions. Nevertheless, wash away mud, salt and coastal deposits after use and repair deep coating damage promptly.

Three-Door and Five-Door Fitment

The bumper’s bolt-on design fits both three-door and five-door Suzuki Jimny Gen 4 models. Under standard fitment conditions, the installation does not require grinding, drilling or welding.

Professional installation is still recommended. The installer should check the mounting points, bumper alignment, fastener torque and clearance around all fitted accessories.
