Strong, Low-Profile Aluminium Design

Des Sol developed the aluminium extrusion to provide a strong frame with a practical weight-to-strength balance. Meanwhile, the low-profile design helps reduce wind noise and keeps the rack close to the vehicle’s roofline.

The flat slats have no exposed upper bolt heads. Therefore, bags and other cargo can move across the rack without catching on raised fasteners. In addition, the top and side T-slots provide several options for securing suitable accessories and mounting hardware.

Five-Stage Coating Protection

Moisture can speed up aluminium oxidation and create an unwanted white surface layer. However, Des Sol’s specialised five-stage coating process helps protect the Jimny Gen 3 roof rack against moisture and outdoor use.

Furthermore, the frame and slats use 316 stainless steel bolts and washers. Powder-coated 3CR12 stainless steel brackets provide strong mounting points, while zinc-plated Nyloc nuts help keep the hardware secure.

Important Roof-Load Information

A trained installer should fit the rack and check every mounting point. After installation, inspect the hardware regularly and tighten it to the correct specification, especially after driving on rough roads.

Important: Always follow the roof-load limit stated by Suzuki for your specific Jimny model. Include the 24kg rack, all accessories and all cargo when calculating the total load. Dynamic driving limits and stationary limits may differ. A rack test rating does not increase the vehicle manufacturer’s permitted roof load.
