The exhaust system is compatible with the Des Sol 80-litre long-range fuel tank. However, compatibility with other aftermarket tanks and accessories should be confirmed before installation.

Garrett GT17 Turbo and Intercooler

The Garrett GT17 turbo supplies the added airflow required to increase engine output. Meanwhile, the intercooler lowers the temperature of the compressed intake air before it enters the engine.

Consequently, the system can provide a more consistent charge under boost. The custom boost pipes and replacement airbox cover also help integrate the forced-induction hardware into the Jimny’s engine bay.

Custom ECU Remapping

The Suzuki Jimny turbo kit includes ECU reprogramming rather than relying only on a piggyback chip. This allows the tuner to adjust the original ECU calibration for the added airflow and boost.

For example, the remap can adjust fuel delivery, ignition timing and boost-related settings. Therefore, the engine management system can operate as one calibrated package with the turbo hardware.

ECU Remap Versus a Piggyback Chip

A piggyback chip intercepts and changes signals between the ECU and selected sensors. Although this can provide quick gains, it offers less direct control over the original ECU strategy.
